Elmo knows your name software

But I want the stupid thing to work properly! I went to Fisher Price's help website and went through the troubleshooting walk-thru, and all it says is that if you get an error and the doll doesn't work right, you have a defective doll! What kind of help is that?

So today I called a live support tech and he made a few suggestions such as trying a different USB port, but nothing really concrete. I'll have to try a few things, including trying my wife's computer again, and then call tech support again while I have the doll hooked up if nothing else works. I just find it hard to believe that we could have gotten two defective dolls in a row. After reading the reviews, I tried turning off my virus software and I was able to successfully download the settings to Elmo.

If so and there are young ones in your house, you might want to consider reprogramming it to see what happens. It could be a bunch of them doing this or maybe it's just that one.

Wow, kind of strange, but funny at the same time. What really makes me laugh is the fact that the news anchor keeps talking about the battery change, as if changing dead batteries and putting in new ones is what caused Elmo to say "Kill James". I suggest the mother simply try different batteries, possibly ones that aren't evil. By the way, my computer has been acting funny lately. I suspect it might be a virus, but my computer guy is convinced that it's demons.
