We never store your credit card or any other sensitive information. A single user license can be registered on your personal machines and by default we give you 3 activations for a laptop, desktop and work computer. This does not mean that you can buy 1 copy of Path Finder and give it to two friends, nor can you buy 5 copies of Path Finder and give it to 15 users in your office.
You must purchase one copy of Path Finder for each person using the application. You own the version that you purchased indefinetely, the license will not expire! However if you want to purchase the next major release of Path Finder and already own a license for the previous version, you will have a grace period of usage for this next version. For example: if you already have a Path Finder 8 License, that license will work on Path Finder 9 for up to a year since you purchased Path Finder 8.
This means, that if you purchased 5 months ago, you can update and use Path Finder 9 for 7 months without paying. After 7 months however you will be prompted to buy a Path Finder 9 license, or you can always revert back to Path Finder 8 and use that version forever. Please note, that our licensing model is is not a subscription, since we will never automatically charge you for the next version! We do not hold your credit card or paying information. You are in control.
Those activations can be for family or friends, or a new computer, but if you have an office or school, it would be best to buy a volume license. The price stays same regardless if you are purchasing more activations for an update or a newly purchased license. How is a volume license different from a single license with multiple activations?
